Councillor Tom Cronin has said the new Ardmore water sports centre project is causing “headaches” for locals. Cllr Cronin asked for an update on the project at the February sitting of the Dungarvan-Lismore District Council.

The first phase of projects to be delivered include a new relief road, carpark, public realm works and a new water sports facility

Waterford City & County Council is to go to tender on a scheme of 28 social and affordable houses in Farrangarret, in Ardmore, within the next fortnight.

Concern has been expressed in County Waterford that silting up of a local harbour is effectively “a tragedy waiting to happen” as its proving restrictive for emergency services.

Plans have been arranged into two phases where over €3.25 million will bring the seaside town back to life. 

Shots were fired at a house in the Ardmore area of Derry on January 6th.
