WATCH: Large crowds attend school bus protest in Waterford

Ardmore Kids leading the Ardmore School Bus Campaign Protest
Last week, two protests took place in Ardmore, Co. Waterford, to call on the Government to take urgent action to address the lack of school transport for secondary school students as the academic year returns.
At present, the only option for children is to meet a bus on the busy N25 road. This solution presented as a compromise by the Department of Education was branded a “cop out not a compromise” by local parents.
It is estimated that approximately 20 per cent of the entire population of Ardmore attended each protest (see video below)
The most recent protest was attended by Sinn Féin's, Deputy David Cullinane TD.
Speaking to the large gathering at the protest, local parent Anto Howard said: "Without families and kids, these small towns and villages will die. But how can a family plan for life in a rural village if they can't get their kids to school? We are here to make sure that doesn't happen in Ardmore.
"We won't forget those that stood with us and those who did nothing when it comes time to vote. One more push, and we'll get this done."
Anto's full speech can be viewed below.
