Approximately 500 people attended a public meeting in the Rhu Glenn Hotel recently to highlight and discuss ongoing concerns about road safety on the N25 between Waterford and New Ross. In the past 20 years, 84 people have lost their lives on the N25.

Most of the people who died were local to this area, from villages and townlands between Waterford and New Ross

The road has seen 80 fatalities in 40 years and is of great concern to locals in Waterford, Wexford and Kilkenny

The measures are in place from Wednesday, May 28 to Friday, June 13

This follows a two-vehicle road traffic incident on the N25 Gaulstown on Friday

Five people have been conveyed to the hospital with injuries which are believed to be non-life threatening.

No other injuries were reported.

Waterford City and County Council are implementing Stop/Go traffic management on the N25 on Tuesday, February 18.The L3035 and L3041 at Faha are affected.Traffic management is in place to facilitate resurfacing works.
