Motorists warned of temporary lane closure of busy route 

The temporary lane closure will be in place on Wednesday and Thursday, May 27 and 28.

Motorists are advised to take note of a temporary lane closure on a busy road off the N25 between New Ross and Waterford.

In a notice Kilkenny County Council asked drivers to take note that the Eastbound lane on the R723 at Glenmore Roundabout / N25 (New Ross) Bypass to its junction with the L7512 at Shanbogh Upper will be closed to traffic from 7am today, Wednesday, May 27, until 7pm tomorrow evening, Thursday, May 28.

The closure is being implemented to facilitate resurfacing works. 

Diversions will be in place and local access will be facilitated.

The Westbound lane of the R723 from New Ross to Glenmore Roundabout will remain open.

Kilkenny County Council appreciates your co-operation and regrets any inconvenience this may cause.
