5.40pm: Almost 400 staff members camp overnight at UHW during Storm Éowyn

In University Hospital Waterford, 384 staff members camped overnight at the facility to ensure that patient care was not affected by Storm Éowyn.

A statement published by UHW said: "We not only had medical and nursing staff who answered the call, AHP's, technical services, non-clinical staff came on board and saw that the hospital ran smoothly during the red weather alert. A huge shout out to all our staff for going the extra mile."

4pm: Here are roads closed as clean-up continues in Waterford

Waterford City and County crews are working to clear hazards from the roads caused by last night's Storm Éowyn.

Most of the hazards reported this morning have now been cleared with the council prioritising roads that are impassible or partially blocked.

However, some roads are still closed, and others are restricted.

2pm: Council crews attending to fallen trees

Council ground crews are attending to a number of fallen trees throughout the city and county and are reminding locals to exercise caution when travelling, as conditions remain hazardous.

1:30pm: HSE assessing impact of storm

HSE South East Sinead Reynolds, the HSE’s Integrated Health Area Manager for Waterford and Wexford, has provided an update on healthcare services, saying: 

 “It will take a number of days to assess the impact of Storm Éowyn across Ireland, I would like to thank you for your continued support as we return to full services as soon as possible.”

12pm: Uisce Éireann are working to restore water supply in areas all over Waterford.

Uisce Éireann are reporting significant outages across the county.

Kilmanahan, Camphire, Stadbally, Lismore and Rathgormack are all affected with works scheduled to be complete by 5pm.

11:30am: Around 3000 homes without power in Waterford after Storm Éowyn 

ESB Networks are reporting power outages across Waterford and South Kilkenny, with around 3000 homes affected.

There are major outages in Ballyhale (1,400 households), Mullinava (700), Tramore (500) and Kilmacthomas (200).

According to the ESB's PowerCheck, there are also faults in Passage East, Dunmore East, Ringville, Ardmore, Lismore and Grannagh.

11am: Trees, ESB Poles down and debris on roads across Waterford 

Waterford City and County Council are reporting fallen trees, power lines down and debris on roads across Waterford.

Crews are preparing to work on removing these hazards as soon as it is safe to do so.
