Around 3000 homes without power in Waterford after Storm Éowyn

ESB Networks say around 3,000 homes are without power in in Waterford and South Kilkenny due to Storm Éowyn.
There are major outages in Ballyhale (1,400 households), Mullinava (700), Tramore (500) and Kilmacthomas (200).
According to the ESB's PowerCheck, there are also faults in Passage East, Dunmore East, Ringville, Ardmore, Lismore and Grannagh.
No information is currently available on how many households are affected.
ESB Networks are experiencing high traffic on their PowerCheck platform, which has caused technical faults on the website.
A spokesperson for ESB Networks told the Waterford News and Star that the IT team is working to resolve the issue.
Waterford City and County Council are reporting power lines down in Glencairn, Lismore, on the R671 Kilcomma and Patrick Street, Tramore.
Uisce Éireann are also reporting faults across Waterford, today, Friday, January 24.
Crews are currently working to resolve the following issues:
- Kilmanahan: Water Treatment Plant interruption- works until 3pm. Kilmanahan, Clonmel and surrounding areas are affected.
- Camphire: Power outage- Works until 4pm. Camphire and the surrounding areas are affected.
- Lismore: Power outage- works until 5pm. Lismore, Tallow Road, Glencaran and the surrounding areas are affected.
- Stradbally: Power outage- works until 5pm. Stradbally and the surrounding areas are affected.
- Rathgormack: Power outage-works until 5pm Rathgormack, Clonea, Monadiha and surrounding areas are affected.
