The death sadly occurred on Friday, August 30, of Mrs Clare Molloy (nee: Heylin), late of Bellview Terrace, John’s Hill, Waterford.
Predeceased by her beloved husband Tom, and sisters Rose and Mary, she is survived by her loving sons James and Ronan, daughters Frances and Lynda, her brother Frank Heylin, grandchildren Rory, Kevin, Dylan, Cameron, Riley, Flynn, Finbar and Hunter, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Clare will be sadly missed by all her relatives, extended family and friends. Requiem Mass took place in St John’s Church, Parnell Street, on Monday, September 2, at 11am with burial afterwards in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ballygunner. Condolences are extended to Clare's family, relatives and friends. May she rest in peace.
The death sadly occurred on Wednesday, September 4, of Mr Dick Donnelly, late of Barrack Street, Passage East, Co Waterford, ex-Waterford Metal Industries. Predeceased by his loving parents Jack and Mary Ann, his brother John and sisters Finola, Maeve, Pauline and Veronica, he is survived by his loving sister Maisie, nieces, nephews extended family neighbours and friends. Dick will be sadly missed by all his family, relatives, neighbours and friends. Requiem Mass took place in St John The Baptist Church, Crooke on Saturday, September 7, at 10am with burial afterwards in Crooke Cemetery. Condolences are extended to Dick's family, relatives and friends. May he rest in peace.

Predeceased by his loving son David, parents Alice and John and his brothers and sisters, he is survived by his loving wife Marian, daughter Patricia, granddaughter Isabela, sisters Lilly and Marian, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends. Dermot will be sadly missed by all his family, relatives, neighbours and friends. Requiem Mass took place on Sunday, September 8, at 1.30pm in the Holy Cross Church, Killea, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. Condolences are extended to Dermot's family, relatives and friends. May he rest in peace.
We are seeking play volunteers to support children and young people in Waterford University Hospital. As you can imagine, hospital can be a scary and stressful time, so our volunteers provide a space for fun and give them a positive experience. The AGM of Waterford Older People’s Council will take place in the Mary Strangman (Large Room) at City Hall, Waterford, on Wednesday, September 18. All are invited to the event taking, which will take place from 2pm to 4pm, and will be chaired by the Older People’s Council Executive, Susan O’Connor. It will also be addressed by the Ombudsman, Ger Deering. Light refreshments will be provided for those attending the event. Information will also be provided at a number of stands located throughout the room.

Waterford Libraries is delighted to again bring a series of free Writing Workshops to the people of Waterford. The programme will run until mid-December and will give participants an opportunity to attend courses in both Irish and English. The courses are free of charge and open to people over 18 years resident anywhere in County Waterford. Application forms are also available at library desks.
Board Game Saturdays take place at Central Library every weekend. Drop in for some family time playing board games every Saturday morning from 10am to 12pm. All welcome and under-12s must be accompanied by an adult.
A chance to talk 'as Gaeilge' will take place in Waterford through St. Joseph & Benildus Church's, 'Cuppa Agus Comhra' initiative. Art classes will be starting in September in the parish centre, for six weeks, on Monday, September 16, from 2.30pm to 4.30pm. Explore the fundamentals of painting using acrylics. Learn to mix colours and create landscapes, still life and self-portraits. The cost is €80 and includes all materials. The Relics of St. Bernadette will journey on pilgrimage to Ireland this year for the very first time, visiting every diocese in the country. This is a very special, once in a life-time event and all are invited to come and pray. The relics of St Bernadette will visit the Cathedral of the Most Holy Trinity, Waterford, on Tuesday and Wednesday, September 17 and 18. The schedule for Tuesday is: 1pm to 2pm - time for schools; 2pm to 3pm - quiet time; 3pm to 4pm - Welcome Liturgy and Water Ritual; 4pm to 6pm - quiet time; 6pm to 6.30pm - Rosary; 7pm to 8pm - Mass; 8pm to 9.30pm - quiet time. Celebrate Waterford’s showband greats and in doing relive memories or if you're discovering them for the first time, come along for an evening filled with fun, laughter, music, dance, and lively chat. Bring your old photos, memorabilia, and stories. This will be a free event and no booking is required.
Tales and Rhymes takes place in Ardkeen Library on Fridays from 10.30am to 12pm. Children under 12 years must be accompanied and supervised in the library by a parent or guardian. Everyone is welcome.
