Whozyerman Live, June 14, Phil Grimes Pub, €15 

Subterranean Sounds is hosting the return to Waterford of Whozyerman?

Following on from the conclusion of O Emperor and their Choice Music Prize-winning final album 'Jason', front man Paul Savage adopted the Whozyerman? moniker and embarked on new solo material which embraced a more low-fi aesthetic.

He has since released a single, a 4-track EP and in February 2023, the album, 'BLINK'. Drum machine and layered sounds allowed Paul's influences shine through, along with artists such as Lemonjelly, Laurie Anderson and Animal Collective to name a few.

Live Music, June 28, The Seanti Kilmacow, €15 

A collection of four of the Southeast's best musicians will be playing at The Seanti.

Martin Murray is a multi-instrumentalist who is equally adept on fiddle, mandolin, banjo and octave mandolin. He's played and recorded with many of the country’s top acts, including The Chieftains, Mairtin O’Connor, Frankie Gavin and Liam Clancy as well as having recorded several solo albums.

Cliodhna Lily Gahan is a singer blessed with an emotive voice who has toured internationally and featured with acts such as the Kalimbas, Newfoundland and Sínó.

Paul Grant is highly regarded throughout Ireland and further afield for his accomplished musicianship and is a sought after guitar player who has played with numerous respected and successful artists like Tom Paxton and Makem and Clancy. For more than 20 years Paul has also toured internationally and throughout Ireland as well as producing and playing on albums with the late Liam Clancy, the last of the great troubadours.

Suzanne Rowe is also highly regarded throughout Ireland and further afield for her accomplished accordion and keyboard playing. Suzanne has also played with numerous respected and successful artists such as Louise Morrissey and Kathy Durkin over the years.

County Waterford Churches and Monuments - The History, July 11, Clonegam Church, €5

Local historian, Julian Walton who has completed a special study of County Waterford Churches and Monuments, will enlighten guests with his findings in Clonagam Church, built on the side of hill with a view over Curraghmore Demense. The interior contains some magnificent monuments. Tickets available at Eventbrite.ie 

Songs of Ireland with Pat Shortt & Mike Hanrahan, August 24, Garter Lane Arts Centre, €25

The show will feature the two musicians taking an eclectic musical tour through the nation’s most beloved songs, putting their own twist on each of these prolific songs which have survived through the decades. Tickets available at garterlane.ie
