Bana Rua formed in 2016 in Waterford City, Ireland. Originally a trio performing an eclectic mix of folk and sea shanties, the group has featured numerous Waterford based singers and multi-instrumentalists with a diverse range of influences from bluegrass to trad to alternative rock with a key focus on vocal harmony.
On Saturday August 8 in GOMA Waterford, the group are hosting a ten-year anniversary gig featuring all past and present members of the group.
Also featuring will be the delightful harmony singing of the ladies from Waterford Celtic Rock group Scáthach.
The event is free to the public with an early time of 5pm-8pm to allow friends and fellow musicians to get to all the other wonderful events and gigs in Waterford on Saturday night.
Pub Theatre Royale is a night of original work created and directed by Luke Corcoran, showcasing a cast of locally developed, homegrown talent from his New Playhouse ensemble.
Following a run of sold-out shows in intimate and unconventional spaces, this marks their first appearance at Theatre Royal Waterford.
Raw, funny, and unpredictable, this is new writing brought directly to the audience.

Funds raised will to Down Syndrome Waterford & South Kilkenny Branch. The cyclists will depart with a rolling start from 9am.
