The Bluegrass Music Festival returns to Dunmore East later this month
The Strand Inn, Dunmore East, will host performances once again at the upcoming Bluegrass Music Festival
The Dunmore East Bluegrass Music Festival is back for its 31st edition later this month, when it will fill the village streets with live music once again.
The free-entry music festival will fill venues across the village with live performances across four days.
The event will take place from Thursday, August 27, to Sunday, August 30.
This year's festival will see the addition of Aggies Hayes Bar in Killea, who have joined the festival venue line-up for the very first time this year, alongside Power's Bar, The Strand Inn and The Spinnaker Bar.
They will all be hosting the very best of national and international bluegrass, folk, americana and acoustic music.
Festival organisers have also announced free campervan parking for the weekend.
Just behind Aggies, campervan users can find a campervan site a short walk from the heart of the village, with a shuttle bus available to transport festivalgoers around the village freely.
As Ireland's longest running bluegrass festival, the event will host a variety of national and international talent from festival favourites like Mons Wheeler to Prison Love and I Draw Slow.
Although the full line-up is yet to be announced, festival organisers have announced festivalgoers who purchase an official Bluegrass 2026 cowboy hat over the weekend will be in with the chance to win a free weekend in Dunmore East for next year's festival event.
These will be available throughout the village, from all venues, for the weekend of the festival.
