Thursday's front pages are focused firmly on the solar eclipse, which was visible in most parts of the country.
The Irish Times and Irish Examiner report temperatures dropped. Birds stopped singing. Even the seagulls of Dublin briefly suspended their missions to steal chips off tourists and rip refuse sacks apart.


The Echo reports a Gazan woman who was granted an Irish scholarship for UCC has been denied a visa to travel to the country.
