Waterford Libraries are bringing a series of free Writing Workshops to the people of Waterford for the third year.

As part of the second strand of the Writers at Waterford Libraries programme for 2025, these workshops will gives participants an opportunity to attend courses in both Irish and English with experienced, well-established writers in their fields. 

The workshops are either four week or one day and take place online or in Waterford Library branches during the evenings or on Saturdays.

The programme runs from August to mid-November.

Mary Conway, City and County Librarian, said: ”We are pleased to be able to offer these free creative writing opportunities to the people of Waterford with a group of top-class writers again in 2025. 

"The workshops are facilitated by established authors and poets who have a wealth of experience and can bring knowledge of both the writing and publishing process to the budding writers taking part”.

Writers involved include William Ryan, Peter Murphy, Niamh Mulvey, Aingeala Flannery, Conor O’Callaghan, Manchán Magan and Ciara Ní É.
