Theft spree committed at premises across Waterford city

A 45-year-old man appeared in court last week for a theft spree he allegedly committed at premises across Waterford city in May.
It is alleged that Laurence Bryan (45), of 1 Brookview Crecent, Tallaght, stole items from TK Maxx, McDonald's, Elvery's and Aldi across a period of five days.
The court heard that on May 3, Bryan allegedly stole €40 worth of goods from TK Maxx in Poleberry.
It's also alleged that a day later, he stole a vacuum cleaner worth €205 from Homesavers in Ballybricken.
On May 7, it's alleged the man stole €12 worth of goods from Elvery's Sports on Micheal Street.
On the same day, he allegedly forced open the front door of Aldi on Ashe Road and entered as a trespasser and while inside, stole a large quantity of alcohol. None of this property was recovered.
On May 8, Bryan entered McDonald's on the Cork Road as a trespasser and allegedly stole a bicycle belonging to a member of staff. The approximate value of the bike is €400 to €500.
Judge William Aylmer accepted jurisdiction to the District Court last week.
Laurence Bryan will reappear in court next month to progress his case.
