The Life & Songs of Neil Diamond, April 5, Tramore Coastguard Cultural Centre

On Saturday, April 5, Derek Flynn of Theatre Vamps will perform his latest “Life & Songs” show – “The Life & Songs of Neil Diamond”.

Neil Diamond has had an amazing career, having sold more than 130 million records worldwide. He has written and recorded 10 singles that reached No. 1 in the US, with a total of 38 songs having reached the top 10. 

Derek will be performing all the hits on the night, interspersed with stories and anecdotes of Neil’s life, in what promises to be a great night.

Big Maggie by Waterford Dramatic Society, April 8 to 12, Garter Lane Arts Centre 

For its 90th birthday in 2025, Waterford Dramatic Society will present John B. Keane’s classic play Big Maggie.

Waterford Dramatic Society last produced this play in 1993 with Frieda Ryan in the title role, with Frieda now moving to the director’s chair for the upcoming production.

Rehearsals started in mid-January and continue apace.

Blackwater Valley Opera Festival, May 27 to June 2, Lismore 

With over 100 performers across 23 events at 12 venues, Blackwater Valley Opera Festival is set to deliver an ambitious and artistically rich programme from 27th May to 2nd June.

Celebrating its 15th anniversary year, Ireland’s Summer Opera Festival will combine world-class talent, innovative productions, bespoke dining experiences and accessible ticket pricing to make opera more inviting than ever before.

At the heart of the festival’s programme is a unique double opera presentation. 

The festival will also feature two highly anticipated concerts at Dromore Yard, headlined by internationally renowned Irish mezzo-sopranos Paula Murrihy and Niamh O’Sullivan.
