What's On: Forest feasts, live music and scooter shows

Waterford Scooter Club have organised a Scooter Show and Coastal rideout due to take place on July 5 and 6. On Friday 5, the group are hosting a meet and greet with Waterford Ska Club, followed by performances from Waterford Ska Club and DJ’s on Saturday 6.
Eamo & Ro are delighted to once again be involved in the Comeragh’s Wild Festival this year and have curated a unique and bespoke menu to be enjoyed in the forest surroundings of Crough wood. Hand selected Rare Breed Dexter Beef will be the centre piece and main event, alongside locally sourced and foraged herbs and vegetables alongside oysters and mussels from the southeast coast. With an emphasis on open fire cooking and dishes to be shared and enjoyed in a convivial atmosphere.
The Unusual Suspects are an energetic, fun band that are no strangers to the stage, both big and small. The Suspects are known as one of Irelands top touring bands. With a high octane fusion of music genres and the addition of screaming brass they cater for all ears of all ages and leave audiences pleading for more.
With hundreds of gigs under their belts here at home and further afield, they also landed themselves No.7 in the Irish Charts in 2013, with their version of Bruce Springsteen's, 'The River'.

'Under Milk Wood' is a surreal, impressionistic and playful account of 24 hours in the life of a fictional Welsh village. We learn of the inhabitants’ dreams and desires, their loves and regrets.
For this production, Waterford Youth Arts’ ensemble of young actors aged 15 to 19 years, is directed by playwright and theatre director Jim Nolan. Jim returns to Waterford Youth Arts, having directed a sold-out outdoor production for Wyse Park of Shakespeare’s, 'Romeo and Juliet', in 2021.
Other artists and collaborators for 'Under Milk Wood' include set design by Ben Hennessy, movement direction by Natasha Everitt, music direction by Éadaoin Walsh, lighting design by Richard ‘Lippy’ Collins with stage manager, Sinéad Hourigan.
