Little Red Kettle unveil latest production

Talented young actors rehearsing for 'A Place Called Home'

Twenty-two young actors will appear alongside familiar local acting faces in the upcoming production of 'A Place Like Home', presented by Little Red Kettle.

The new play is from Deirdre Dwyer, an acclaimed theatre-maker both nationally and internationally, who has now returned to live and make work in her hometown of Waterford.

The production is directed by Joe Meagher, a native of Waterford City who has been a professional theatre practitioner for almost 30 years,

The show features an intergenerational cast that explores family, friendship and what it takes to make a home.

Sophie and her family are out on their ear, Olive’s Mam has gone into hospital again, Mary’s peaceful existence is about to be disrupted by an infestation of grandchildren, and they all need a place to feel at Home.

Joining a cast of 22 young actors are professional actors Andrew Holden, Natalie Doherty, Shauna Farrell and Joe Meagher.

This project is a full circle moment for the company, as Deirdre was inspired to create this new work from her own time spent in Little Red Kettle.
