Exhibition

Photographer Margaret O’Brien-Moran and poet Mark Roper spent 2022 capturing the beauty of The Japanese Gardens in Tramore, resulting in a collaborative exhibition, ‘From the Japanese Gardens’. Running throughout February at the Coastguard Cultural Centre, Tramore, the exhibition showcases photographs, a short film, scrolls, silk hangings and a book of poetry and images for sale. Margaret, an experimental photographer, has used sustainable methods such as Anthotypes, Cyanotypes, Sun Pictures, and Eco Prints, even developing an image of Lafcadio Hearn on a Hosta leaf. Mark’s poetry follows a year in the gardens, capturing its seasonal beauty in simple yet evocative verse.
