Tours of Garter Lane Arts Centre, August 8

Join local writer and actor Joe Meagher on a 45 minute historical tour of Garter Lane Art Centre’s two fascinating buildings. Joe, who has previously guided tours in the Viking Triangle and around Waterford Walls, has created this  tour exploring the rich Quaker, Georgian and Artistic history of Garter Lane’s buildings and O’Connell Street.

The tours will begin at the box office in the theatre building, 22a O’Connell Street and will finish up at our newly refurbed studio's building, 5 O’Connell St. A native of Waterford City, Joe has been a professional theatre practitioner for almost 30 years, working and touring extensively as both an actor and director.

He is also a singer/songwriter with Waterford-based band Birds of Burden and works as a facilitator for Little Red Kettle children’s theatre company.
