Waterford Helping the Homeless charity makes urgent plea for new premises
Waterford Helping Homeless provides food, clothing and shelter for men, women and children in need.
Waterford Helping the Homeless have made an urgent plea for a new premises after plans for their new location fell through.
The homeless charity had been based in the Marantha Church on Poleberry since 2019 before being told to vacate in August 2026.
Earlier this month, it was reported that the charity would be setting up their service at a new space at Coffee House Lane.
Sadly, it appears that the venue is no longer viable.
On a Meta post, managers revealed the heartbreaking news about their new location
: "Hey guys, so this is one last shot, our new premises has fallen through and we have 2 weeks to vacate our current premises. Is there anybody out there that has a place that we could feed the homeless from, somewhere that's not in the city centre, maybe in or around Johnstown, Manor, Poleberry areas.
"Any help would be greatly appreciated."
