Over the course of 24 hours, crews from across Waterford's 10 fire stations responded to 19 incidents.
Halloween is always a busy time for the Fire Service, and this year was no exception, as Waterford Fire Service responded to almost 20 incidents on Saturday, October 31.
Over the course of 24 hours, crews from across Waterford's 10 fire stations responded to 19 incidents, Chief Fire Officer of Waterford Fire Service Niall Curtin confirmed to the Waterford News & Star.
Of the 19 incidents, 14 involved bonfires and outdoor fires.
The five remaining calls, he said, were automatic fire alarms, a vehicle fire and a road traffic collision.
Waterford Fire Service attend roughly 1,500 incidents a year across all of their fire stations, according to Waterford City and County Council, around four incidents a day.
Fire Services across the country experienced much of the same, with Dublin Fire Service calling it their busiest night in 15 years.
