Waterford poet Darragh O'Dempsey attracted large crowds to the launch of his latest poetry collection at The Book Centre last week.

The Wandering Wendigo is a collection of contemporary confessional poetry exploring love, desire, loneliness, intimacy, heartbreak, and the ways in which our relationships can consume us.

An emerging artist, young in years, Darragh’s work contains a striking candour and vulnerability.
He says that writing has become a necessity for him, and putting his deepest thoughts and emotions onto the page has helped him process and understand his emotions as he moved away from his hometown in Waterford to study in Dublin.
