Waterford gardaí investigate serious assault of a woman on a woodland trail
The incident is under investigation.
Waterford gardaí have launched an investigation following the serious assault of a woman in a woodland in Cheekpoint.
A woman in her 40’s was walking in the area, which is a woodland walk in Faithlegg, when she was approached and assaulted by a middle aged male.
The alleged suspect is described as around 5ft 10, slim, with long dark hair and a long dark beard.
He is also described as wearing a mid-length dark jacket.
The incident occurred on Saturday, September 5, between 12:30 pm and 12:40 pm.
Gardaí say investigations are ongoing and they are seeking the public’s assistance in the matter.
