Fianna Fail’s Cllr John O’Leary has been elected on the second count in Portlaw/Kilmacthomas LEA. The Kilmeaden local will join Fine Gael’s Cllrs Liam Brazil and Seanie Power, who were elected on count one yesterday.

It was a historic victory for Sinn Féin in the Waterford election as the party won their first ever seat in the Lismore LEA, with Donnchadh Mulcahy overcoming Independent candidate Brian Buckley by 39 votes.
