Watch: Councillor Liam Brazil first to be elected in Waterford

Local Councillor Liam Brazil returns to his seat on the Comeragh District as part of the Waterford City and County Council as he’s the first candidate to be elected for the 2024 elections in the SETU Arena of 79 running candidates.
Speaking to the Waterford News & Star after the announcement [], Cllr Brazil said he’s looking forward to spending more time on his work as a Councillor when he retires shortly, and he will focus on getting more housing for rural areas.
Cllr Brazil also thanked the 1,982 people who gave him a first preference vote, and to those who considered him on their ballot sheets.
