Kilbarry housing plans

A planning application outlining intentions to construct 99 homes on the outskirts of Waterford City has been placed on the hold due to a 'further information' request.

The development consists of houses and apartments in Kilbarry, and forms part of a larger masterplan which is intended to cover around 32 hectares of land in total.

The application which was placed on hold today, contains plans to construct 10 four-bed units, 57 three-bed units, 24 two-bed units and 8 one-bed units.

The site is located approximately 3km southwest of Waterford City Centre and is within the townland of Kilbarry.

Within the overall masterplan area is a proposed 1,000 pupil primary school which will be integrated alongside the permitted creche to form a future educational campus.
