The man was stopped while cycling a bicycle on the M9 motorway, outside Kilmacow.

A man appeared in court last week charged with the dangerous riding of a pedal cycle.

Jehad Helal, of Railway Square, Waterford, was spotted by gardaí cycling his bicycle on the M9 motorway near Kilmacow, County Kilkenny, an incident which landed him before a judge.

The 39-year-old man was previously told by a judge that the matter would be thrown out if he avoided any further adverse road traffic related attention from gardaí.

In Waterford courthouse last week, the court was updated on the matter. The man has avoided further garda attention on road traffic matters, and his charge was struck out.
