Man (40s) dies in single-vehicle crash in Co Clare

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision which occurred on the R462 in Ballymorris, Cratloe, Co Clare on Wednesday 29th July 2026.

The single vehicle collision involved a car and occurred shortly after 7am.

A male driver (aged in 40s) was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The road is currently closed pending examination by garda forensic collision investigators.

Local diversions are in place.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have been travelling on the R462 in Ballymorris, Cratloe, Co. Clare between 6:30am and 7:10am on Wednesday 29th July 2026.

Road users who may have camera footage (including dash cam or mobile phone recordings) are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
