The regeneration of Lombard Street continues, with a new planning application submitted for works to the former Alfie Hale sports bar.

Derelict buildings at Lombard Street are currently being rejuvenated as expansion works to the Tower Hotel progress. Situated at a major entrance point to the city centre, the buildings have for a long time been an eyesore for passersby.

The blaze broke out in the kitchen next to Hobson's Restaurant at around 10am this morning

The Tower Hotel in Waterford City was evacuated at around 10am this morning (Tuesday December 3) due to a minor fire which broke out in the hotel kitchen area. {element}Four fire brigade units and an ambulance attended the scene.

A meeting is due to take place in County Waterford for stakeholders in multi-unit developments. The outreach meeting will take place in the Tower Hotel on Wednesday, October 23, at 7pm and will be free to attend.
