The search for the next Waterford Rose is underway

The Waterford Rose 2026 selection will take place on March 14th. Young women are encouraged to apply online.

The search is underway to find the 2026 Waterford Rose. Young women from all over the county are invited to apply online.

The Waterford Rose Selection 2026 will take place on Saturday 14 March at the Tower Hotel.

The current Rose of Tralee, Katelyn Cummins recently met with some Waterford Rose applicants to launch the search.

Katelyn along with Waterford Rose Co Ordinator, Lyn Moloney and Chloe O'Donnell (2017 Waterford Rose) briefed the applicants as to what is in store for them on their journey.

Ms Moloney said: “’The Rose of Tralee international Festival is the most incredible experience, and I would encourage as many young women as possible to take part and become their local Rose. I guarantee them they will make incredible friends and have an amazing experience. Many people think that the Rose of Tralee festival is just a week-long festival and they don’t realise that the Roses and Rose Escorts have so many incredible experiences throughout the whole year. All I can say to any young woman is to ‘go for it and apply!'"

The Waterford Rose Centre would be delighted if any Club, Society, or business considered sponsoring an entrant for the 2026 Waterford Rose Selection.

As a Waterford Rose entrant sponsor, there are several ways that your company or organisation can benefit from supporting a Waterford Rose entrant:

• Your sponsor’s name will appear on your entrant’s sash which is worn at all official Waterford Rose events that take place throughout the county • Your sponsor’s name will appear on our screens throughout the selection evening on March 14

• Your sponsor’s name will be included on all our Social Media Platforms.

• Your organisation will be associated with the Rose of Tralee International Festival, one of Ireland’s largest and longest running festivals, connecting the worldwide Irish diaspora.

A spokesperson for the Waterford Rose Centre said: “We would like to sincerely thank Sinead, Áine and their wonderful team for their continued support and friendship. “ If you know someone who would love this experience or someone you think would be a fantastic Ambassador for Co. Waterford, let the Waterford Rose Centre know today.
