The question is whether Tramore Summer Sessions should extend the event to two days next year, which depends on support and funding. Acts have been booked already for Saturday, July 26, so save the date. The organisers are considering adding Sunday, July 27, to make it a two-day event, but as of now, they have Saturday, July 26 confirmed with all-day performances. This event was made all the better with the weather conditions on the day. Maybe one more year of the day event would give a better indication of whether an extension would suit.
Tramore urgently needs a community theatre, as the largest town in the county, this is an unacceptable gap in the cultural infrastructure for its residents. People-powered campaigns are the best for delivering for their own communities so join to enrich the culture of our hometown. At present, a feasibility study is underway to assess the proposal for a community theatre in Tramore as part of a larger community arts facility. This community arts facility will potentially be the cornerstone of a new civic quarter for Tramore in the long term. We are looking for suggestions and feedback from people and community groups who live in Tramore, work in Tramore and visit Tramore. The results of this survey will be used to inform the feasibility study and all responses will be treated anonymously. Please give two minutes of your day to complete the online survey in support of the theatre campaign online at https://www.cognitoforms.com/.../FeasibilitySurveyTramore
Tramore Petanque Group is a newly established group of people who love playing boules. They play on Saturdays around 11am, beside the Majestic Hotel Carpark. Everyone is welcome, no experience needed. Petanque and boules, are two different names for the same game. In French, the word 'boule' means ball and in France people often refer to the game simply as boules. Outside of France the game is usually referred to as 'Petanque'.
Tramore Lifeboat RNLI and Dunmore East RNLI extend heartfelt thanks for the generosity and continued support from everyone involved in the Waterford Truck Show 2024. Such donations ensure our volunteers receive the necessary training, skills, and equipment to respond swiftly to sea emergencies.
Well done to Kevin Doyle Photography on producing another highly impressive calendar for 'Tramore 2025'. Kevin has been producing these extremely popular calendars for four years now. Kevin said: "My calendar is a collection of Tramore's most popular landmarks taken throughout 2024. The calendars sell for only €10 each and €1 of every sale will be donated to 'Juniors for Juniors'. The Juniors for Juniors Foundation supports the children's ward at University Hospital Waterford. Details of their amazing work can be seen at https://juniorsforjuniors.ie/
For anyone who loves Tramore you would be advised to get a copy as soon as possible before they are sold out.

The Tramore Scouts 8th Senior Cubs showed incredible determination by taking on the challenge of the 20km Chief Cub Scout Hike on the Greenway recently, conquering it on what must have been the sunniest and hottest day of the summer. Despite the heat, they powered through and finished in just over five hours. Of course, they made sure to keep spirits high with some well-timed treats - enjoying a relaxing lunch, refreshing ice cream, and wrapping up with a well-deserved cold can of Coke and some chocolate. A huge well done to the lads. The unit are incredibly proud of your hard work and spirit. This group will move up to Scouts in September, but we know you'll continue to achieve great things and keep making Tramore proud.
