The death has sadly occurred on Sunday, January 18 2026, of Mrs Bernie Dwyer, nee Ryan Castlewoods, Ballinamona, Old Tramore Road, Waterford. Formerly of Pearse Park, Ursuline Road, Waterford.
Predeceased by her loving husband Johnny, her brothers and sisters, son-in-law Tommy and grandsons Jason and Mark.
She is survived by her loving son Michael, daughters Jean, Bernadette (Bernie) and Mary, daughter-in-law Rita, sons-in-law Tommy and Stephen, her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Bernie will be sadly missed by all her relatives, extended family, neighbours and friends.
Requiem Mass took place in Sacred Heart Church, The Folly, on Wednesday, January 21, at 1pm, followed by burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ballygunner.
Condolences are extended to Bernie's family, relatives and friends.
May she rest in peace.

Saturday, January 31 Mount Sion C.B.S. and Scoil Lorcain are hosting a fundraiser night at Kilcohan Park Greyhound Stadium on Saturday, January 31, at 7pm in support of their Student Lorek and his family.
Tickets cost €10 and are available from the office at Mount Sion CBS, Barrack Street. There will also be a raffle on the night.

We kick things off on Thursday, January 15 and will be dancing together for six weeks — no experience needed, just come as you are and enjoy moving to the music!
This class is open to female clients of Solas with a cancer diagnosis.

The festival is calling on literature lovers to submit their favourite piece of writing (not self-written) for consideration for Sunshine: sharing writings to brighten our souls, the ever-popular event to celebrate the joy of reading.
