Cork native, Kevin Hayes, late of Newtown, Tramore, formerly of AIB, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 21, at University Hospital Waterford, surrounded by his loving family. He is deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his heartbroken wife, Elizabeth; his children, Máire, Tom, Jacqui, and David; and his adoring grandchildren, Seán, Connor, Caoimhe, Tadhg, Daisy, Rían, and Alannah. He was also fondly remembered by his brothers, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, and extended family. Kevin began his career with the Provincial Bank in 1959, in Clonmel, as well as AIB, Limerick and Kilmacthomas. He was a wonderful storyteller, an avid reader, and a passionate lover of music. He took great pride in his sporting achievements, playing with Ballyclough Golf Club and competing in the GAA Minor Hurling Championship in Cork with Glen Rovers. Kevin reposed at the family home in Tramore on Sunday afternoon. His Requiem Mass took place on Monday morning at The Church of the Holy Cross, Tramore, Co. Waterford, followed by burial in St. Declan’s Cemetery, Tramore.
