The Mersey Beatles performing in Waterford

The Mersey Beatles, April 17, Theatre Royal 

The Mersey Beatles have been rocking sold-out shows around the globe since 1999 with their authentic and widely acclaimed celebration of John, Paul, George, and Ringo.

The band, who clocked up more than 600 appearances in a 10-year residency at Liverpool’s legendary Cavern Club, brilliantly exude the inner and outer spirit of the original Fab Four.

The Mersey Beatles live stage show is a gloriously presented hit-packed celebration of the music that changed the world.

False Start art exhibition, March 29 to April 27, GOMA Waterford 

False Start is an exhibition bringing together two early career Irish artists, Léann Herlihy and Lauren Conway. Spanning installation, sculpture, drawing, painting and performance, it invites its audience to reflect on the meaning of winning or losing, inclusion and exclusion.

Léann Herlihy grew up in rural Waterford and has exhibited across Ireland and internationally. This exhibition at GOMA will see Herlihy return home to present work in county Waterford for the first time.

Lauren Conway is a Dublin based visual artist who work often uses archival materials, documentation from site visits, and found images in her drawing, painting and installation processes in order to explore experiences of education in Ireland.

Brazilian yoga dance, March 25 to December 16, Garter Lane Studios 

Brazilian Yoga Dance is a powerful tool for cultivating mindfulness and emotional balance, combining the flow and mindfulness of yoga with the rhythm and movement of Brazilian dance.

The class is led by Sandra Camargo, who is teacher of samba and others style of Brazilian dance. Sandra is a massage therapist and yoga teacher certified by The Yoga Institute of Mumbai, India, the world’s oldest yoga school.

Previous experience is not needed to take part and have fun in the classes.

HousePlants Live, July 19, Bank Lane 

Irish electronic duo HousePlants, is the collaborative project between Bell X1 frontman Paul Noonan and producer Daithí.

HousePlants have built a reputation for their electrifying live performances, from festivals like All Together Now and Beyond the Pale, to opening slots for legends such as Chic and Leftfield.

Their unique combination of energetic rhythms and heart-on-sleeve storytelling has earned them a loyal following.
