Third show added following unprecedented demand for 'The Scratch' in Waterford

The Scratch
A third date has been added for The Scratch at Bank Lane next month, following unprecedented demand from locals.
The Scratch are a four-piece act from Dublin, who are born from a shared love of metal and traditional Irish music.
The group's sound is described as a "moulding of triumphant melodies with the groove and intensity of metal".
Started as a fun experiment in the kitchen of a house in Perrystown, Dublin, The Scratch have already built up a serious buzz nationwide.
A 2017 busking trip to the Rory Gallagher festival in Ballyshannon saw the band score their first viral video, racking up an astonishing one million views in just a week and shared around the world.
Their debut album released in 2020 reached number nine in the Irish Album Charts, number two in the Independent Charts and clocked the most vinyl sales for an artist in a single week that year.
The band say that their output of videos, shot and edited by themselves, has been extremely important to their success and identity.
The surge in demand is not unique to Waterford, however, as every headliner they have played in Dublin has sold out, including at The Underground, The Grand Social, Whelan's and the Button Factory, which sold out three months in advance.
The band are no stranger to the Waterford stage either, having performed in the Something Kind of Wonderful tent at All Together Now.
The band continue to grow, with their live shows having garnered a cult-like following in Ireland, the UK and most recently mainland Europe and North America.
At Bank Lane, the December 27 gig is now sold out, with tickets still available on December 28 and 29.
Tickets cost €27.50, available at banklane.ie
