Stereo MC’s and EMF

On December 14 at 8pm, nineties English hip hop and electronic dance group Stereo MC's will perform.

Stereo MC’s are probably best-known for their international Top 20 hit single ‘Connected’, which was released in 1992 and taken from the ‘Connected’ album of the same year.

The album reached #2 in the UK Album Chart and also contained the aforementioned hits ‘Step It Up’, ‘Creation’, and ‘Ground Level’, and led to the group winning two Brit Awards for Best Group and Best Album in 1994.

Special guests on the night are EMF, a British dance-rock quintet formed in 1989.

Their debut album, Schubert Dip, was released in May 1991. It was certified platinum (over a million copies sold) in the US in September 1991.

By the end of 1991, their infectious debut single “Unbelievable” had conquered the charts on both sides of the Atlantic, hitting #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #3 in the UK. The single was certified gold (over 500,000 copies sold) in the US in May 1991.

Gavin James

Dublin-born singer songwriter Gavin James reached dizzying heights in the 2010s.

He boasts an impressive 2.3 million monthly listeners on Spotify and more than 3 billion overall song streams.

James released his debut album and homage to Alanis Morissette's Bitter Pill on November 20, 2015. It reached platinum status in Ireland.

Additionally he has supported Kodaline, Tori Kelly, Sam Smith and Ed Sheeran on their respective tours.

His 2018 song ‘Always’ has attracted over 180 million streams on Spotify to date, and became a major radio hit globally.

Mick Flannery and more

On December 13, Mick Flannery will perform. The last couple of years saw the release of his album inspired by the world’s most famous chess matches, and a duet album with Susan O’Neill that blossomed into 'In The Game', the biggest selling Irish independent album of 2021.

Now, a new collection of songs have transformed into the latest album — Goodtime Charlie.

Additionally, The Tumbling Paddies will also be taking over The Big Top this year. The group have grown to be one of Ireland's most sought-after acts, combining their passion for music with the skill and spirit that made each of them All-Ireland Fleadh Champions. The brilliant Irish Queen cover band Qween will be joined by the wonderful Dublin Gospel Choir on Sunday, December 22.
