League of Ireland: Sligo Rovers beat Bohs 2-1, St Pat's lose to Shamrock Rovers

Fixtures between Waterford and Drogheda United and Galway United and Shelbourne were postponed due to poor pitch conditions.

Sligo Rovers have beaten Bohemians 2-1.

Bohs went ahead in the eighth minute thanks to a goal from Zane Myers.

However, Sean McHale went on to score twice for Sligo Rovers, once in the 39th minute and once in the 49th, to secure the three points.

Things ended all square between Dundalk and Derry City at 2-2.

Derry City went ahead early on thanks to a goal from James Clarke.

Tyreke Wilson brought things back level in the 35th minute, before a goal from Dipo Akinyemi in the dying minutes of the first half sent Derry City into the break with 2-1 lead.

Ronan Teahan got the Lilywhites back on level terms in the 79th minute.

Jack Byrne’s long range effort, which was deflected into the back of Joseph Anang’s net early on in the first half, was enough for Shamrock Rovers to walk away with a win against St Patrick's Athletic.

A fixture between Waterford and Drogheda United was due to kick off this evening, but the game was postponed.

In a statement, Drogheda United said: "Following a late pitch inspection, our SSE Airtricity Men's Premier Division fixture away to Waterford has been postponed due to an unplayable pitch in the RSC.

"A new date for this fixture will be announced in due course."

Galway United and Shelbourne also had their fixture postponed due to pitch conditions.

In a statement, Shelbourne said: "Following a pitch inspection in Eamonn Deacy Park, our Men’s Premier Division tie with Galway United scheduled for tonight has been postponed.

"A date for the rescheduled fixture will be announced in due course."
