Yellow rain warning issued for Waterford

The yellow warning will continue into Valentine's Day but should conveniently clear up in the evening in time for date night.
A status yellow rain warning has been issued for Waterford as a significant front of heavy rain is set to hit the south coast with "spot flooding" forecast in places.
The Met Éireann-issued rain warning comes into effect at 6 pm today, Thursday, February 13, and will remain in place until midday on Friday, February 14.
The concerning conditions is forecast to cause poor visibility, spot flooding and difficult travelling conditions.
Met Éireann's forecast for tonight across Munster is for wet and windy conditions with rainfall expected to be heaviest in south Munster with spot flooding in places.
The conditions are set to be windy with strong, gusty east to southeast winds in place. Temperatures are expected to drop as low as 3 to 6 degrees.
The yellow warning will continue into Valentine's Day but should conveniently clear up in the evening in time for date night.
The national forecaster said: "Friday will start off wet and blustery with rain, which will gradually clear northeastwards during the afternoon. Bright or sunny spells will follow."
It's expected that fresh southeast winds will decrease light to moderate and highest temperatures will be between 8 and 12 degrees.
Waterford is set for a wet start to the weekend as Saturday is forecast to have light rain before a calm day on Sunday.
