Woman fails to appear in court over alleged spate of theft and drugs offences

Joanne Ragher (26), of 10 Eskar Grove, Ardkeen Village, Waterford, was due in Waterford District Court last week in relation to multiple alleged offences.

Joanne Ragher (26), of 10 Eskar Grove, Ardkeen Village, Waterford, was due in Waterford District Court last week in relation to multiple alleged offences. She did not make an appearance, however, and all matters were adjourned until January 13.

She was due to appear before the court in relation to theft offences allegedly committed in 2024, including at Centra on the Quay in Waterford city, and two theft offences at Phelan’s Pharmacy, Michael Street. 

She was also up for theft charges at Power's Pharmacy, Ballybricken, on February 26 of this year, as well as theft at Oxfam, George's Street, on June 24 of this year and two further theft offences, which are alleged to have occurred in the Arundel Square area of Waterford City, also on June 24 of this year. Section 15 Misuse of Drugs and Section 3 Misuse of Drugs charges were recorded on this same date, namely, sale and supply, and possession of drugs.
