Woman appears in court for 'shouting abuse' at gardaí at Waterford Garda Station

Waterford Garda Station

A 31-year-old woman appeared in court last week for an incident, which occurred at Waterford Garda Station.

Ms. Sarah Lawrence, of Flat 7, 11 O’Connell Street, Waterford, "shouted abuse" towards gardaí and other members of the public in the station in September of this year.

She returned to the station later the same day, however, to apologise.

Her solicitor, Mr. Ken Cunningham, told the court that the woman is “accepting that her emotions got the better of her” on the day.

He added that she was “embarrassed” by the incident.

On concluding the matter, Judge Kevin Staunton said, “I’ll give her a break and strike it out.”
