There was great excitement in one area of County Waterford recently when local set dancers enjoyed a very successful trip to Fleadh Cheoil na nDéíse.

Members of the Sliabh gCua Set Dancing Club, which is based in the Tournaneena area, represented their organisation at the event which took place in Ballyduff Upper.
The club's U12 groups went home with two first place finishes and two third place positions.

The organisation's 12 to 15 groups had two second places and the dancers aged 15 to 18 recorded to first places and one third place finish.
Meanwhile, the Over 18, 4-Hand Ladies recorded a second place finish.

It was a great set of results and a huge boost for one of the most active dance groups in the county.

The next round, Fleadh Cheoil na Mumhan, will take place in MTU Cork, in July.
