Travel magazine Condé Nast Traveller placed Waterford’s Copper Coast and Greenway at the top of 2026's “7 Wonders of Ireland”. It marks the second year in a row Waterford has made the list.

“We are absolutely delighted to see the county recognised once again by Condé Nast Traveller,” said Chair of Visit Waterford Clare Barrett.

“To be named for a second consecutive year is a huge honour and a testament to the incredible natural beauty we have here, from the Copper Coast to the Greenway, and to the passion and dedication of the people and businesses who bring the visitor experience to life every day.

“This recognition really puts Waterford on the global stage as a must-visit destination.

“As more travellers look for meaningful and immersive experiences, Waterford offers something truly special.

“Whether it’s cycling the Greenway, exploring hidden coves along the coast, or simply taking time to enjoy the scenery and hospitality, there is a sense of discovery here that really resonates with visitors.”

Waterford was named alongside The Burren, Ring of Beara, Northwest Donegal, the Fermanagh Lakeland, Kilkenny and Newgrange.
