Waterford men plead guilty to 'demanding money with menaces’

Two locals have pleaded guilty at Waterford Circuit Court to demanding money with menaces.

Michael Keenan, 6 An Cluain, Youghal Road, Dungarvan, pleaded guilty to an incident from June 2024 at Rockfield, Cappoquin, where he made demands for money and threatened to damage another man's property.

Meanwhile, a second man also entered a guilty plea on the same charge.

Darren Cummins, Kilongford, Dungarvan, made demands for money and threatened to damage another man's property on an unknown date between November 2022 and January 2023, at Shanakill. Cummins also pleaded guilty to counts of possessing cocaine and cannabis for sale or supply.
