Waterford man pleads guilty to intimidating a witness

A 35-year-old man has entered a guilty plea for intimidating a witness at Waterford Courthouse.

Shane Barrett, with an address at The Walk, Fairfield Park, Waterford, committed the offence in March 2025.

During his arraignment at Waterford Circuit Court last week, he avoided the empanelment of a jury and the commencement of a trial by pleading guilty to the offence.

Judge Eugene O’Kelly adjourned the matter until January 13. A sentencing date will be arranged thereafter.
