Waterford gets Winterval ready!

Work is underway in the city for this year's Winterval celebrations.

The official launch is just weeks away, with the annual Light Up Ceremony taking place on Friday November 13.

This week, lights are being prepped across the city, and the popular Christmas market stalls are being installed in John Roberts Square and Great George's Street.

A new attraction this year is the 1,000 seater Hive venue opposite the People's Park.

The venue will be hosting The Boomtown Rats, The High Kings, Blindboy, K-Pop tribute act Superslayers and Waterford's own Mad Ferritt.

Tickets are on sale.
