The two incidents of criminal damage are being investigated.

Waterford Gardaí are investigating two separate incidents of criminal damage that occurred in the city over the weekend.

A spokesperson said the public's assistance was being sought in relation to the investigations of both matters.

The first incident occurred in Gracedieu Heights on Saturday, January 17th, at 10.30pm when a van was damaged. The driver’s side window was smashed and the front windscreen was also damaged.

Two young males were seen on pedal cycles and Gardaí are looking to speak to those two youths. 

"If you can assist in identifying them or if you have video doorbell footage that may assist the investigation please contact Unit B at Waterford Garda Station on 051 305300," said the Garda spokesperson.

The second incident also occurred on Saturday, January 17, at 10.55pm in the Saint Herblain Park.

In that incident a window in a house was broken and entry was gained to the building.

"A short time later the fire brigade attended the scene to extinguish a fire in the property," said the Garda.

"Again we asking people in this area with video doorbell to review their footage and submit anything that maybe relevant to the Crime Unit at Waterford Garda Station," she added.
