Community policing was very much to the fore recently for members of Waterford Gardaí when they stopped off at a local care centre.
Gardaí from Waterford Community Policing Unit recently had the pleasure of being invited to Kilbarry Care Centre to speak to the residents about Crime Prevention.

In an online post the Gardaí said they were given a fantastic welcome by the nursing home staff and residents.
As part of its ongoing commitment to community policing the Gardaí in the Déise also use their community policing van to effectively bring the force to the heart of communities all around the county.

Through that initiative members stop off at various locations in the county to give people an opportunity to get advice and raise concerns relating to policing in their area.

The Gardaí were delighted to accept the invitation to Kilbarry Care Centre and everyone involved enjoyed the visit.
