Waterford court sends man forward for trial on burglary charge

A man has been sent forward for trial for a burglary in Ardkeen Village in 2025.
Stephen Finn (39), of no fixed abode, was before Judge John Cheatle at Waterford District Court, charged with burglary contrary to Section 12 of the Criminal Justice (Theft and Fraud Offences) Act 2001.
It is alleged that on June 4, 2025, Mr Finn entered a residential property in the Ardkeen Village area and, while there, committed theft.
Sergeant Michael Hickey confirmed to the court that the book of evidence had been served on the defendant with the DPP instructing trial on indictment on May 8.
Judge Cheatle issued the alibi warning to the defendant and sent him forward for trial to the current sittings of Waterford Circuit Court.
