The Irish retail chain Born Clothing, has announced the closure of its 15 stores across the country, including its operation in Dungarvan Shopping Centre.

In a statement uploaded on Instagram, the clothing chain thanked its supporters.

“We want to sincerely thank each and every one of you for your support over the years- for shopping with us, supporting us, and being part of our journey,” the statement read.

A closing-down sale has begun, with 70% off all items.

Over the course of the sale, no gift vouchers will be accepted, and no returns of items bought pre-liquidation sale can be made.

All items bought in the sale can be returned within a 30-day window.

The company currently employs 116 people across Ireland.

The High Court appointed provisional liquidators to the group on Tuesday, April 21.

The court heard that difficulties arose stemming from the Covid pandemic and the increased cost of doing business.
