Warning issued to Waterford motorists ahead of silage season traffic

Motorists in Waterford are being reminded that there will be an increase in heavy machinery on roads in the upcoming months.

Speaking last week, Cllr Seanie Power advised locals to be extra vigilant as silage season is quickly approaching.

He said: “It’s coming up to the time of year when silage is being done and there will be heavy machinery and tractors on the roads for the next couple of months.

“We'd be asking all motorists to be vigilant on our local and rural roads especially around silage time. We’d also ask the tractor drivers to be vigilant of cars. There’s going to be a lot of heavy machinery on the road and its busy times.”
