The gloves are off for Waterford Garda taking policing to the community

It's will be a case of stepping out of the ring and into the community for one members of An Garda Síochána in Waterford who will be undertaking some community policing in the Déíse county in the coming days.
In an online post Waterford Gardaí said: 'Our very own Pro Boxer, Garda Tina Desmond, will be doing the rounds again in the Community Bus next Wednesday the 4th March.'
Garda Desmond will be visiting the following locations on the day: An Rinn [Spar] 10am to 12pm; Clashmore Village 12.30pm to 1.30pm, and Ballyduff Village 3pm to 4pm.
'Feel free to call in to report anything, get forms signed and stamped or even for just a chat,' noted the Gardaí in their post.

They also noted that despite her formidable reputation inside the ring the public have nothing to fear in meeting her: 'She's not that scary, promise.'
